I had zero expectations coming into the program. All I knew is I wanted to volunteer and find a way to offer my skills as a native english speaker.

What was most impressive about the program is the sharing and closeness that developed in such a short time. I found that the students were very vulnerable and we got to know each other very well.

Their dedication to learn english and improve their language skills was really special.

I loved the format, where we would have the whole day to spend talking together and then have fun in the evenings. The days were very long and it took me a day or so to adjust to the schedule but once I was in the groove the time passed quickly.

I am happy to say I have seven new friends and this is the first time I have been able to spend that amount of time with native spanish speakers.

Since I live in valencia I know what its like to try to master a new language and my hat goes off to this group of wonderful people.

I trust that we will see each other again as I travel through spain and will volunteer for the program in the future.
