Ciara Savage

I loved that there were Anglos from all around the world, and that the Spanish people who came could learn English in an international environment.

Hi, my name is Ciara. I was born in Bristol, England. I moved to France when I was aged two and then to Spain when I was aged three. At home I speak English, but I am also fluent in Spanish and Valenciano. I feel lucky to be able to speak three languages; I love how I express myself differently depending on the language; sometimes I feel like I am able to be three different people!

I love living in Spain; I have grown up doing acrobatics on the beach, hiking in the mountains, rock climbing and biking. This year I went skiing in the Spanish Pyrenees for the first time and I absolutely loved it. I also love dance and theatre and have been able to be part of some great shows with other members of the English-speaking community in Spain. Growing up in an international environment opens your eyes to possibilities and opportunities.

I love travelling, learning about different cultures and meeting new people. I am also a kind, caring and thoughtful person, and it’s important to me that people feel at ease around me. So, when I heard about Pueblo Ingles, I knew it would be for me!

Volunteering with Pueblo Ingles was one of the best experiences of my life. I made such fantastic friends who I continue to stay in contact with. I loved that there were Anglos from all around the world, and that the Spanish people who came could learn English in an international environment. The whole experience was fun and laughter from morning to night!
