When I retired from a long career in Finance, being a Volunteer at Pueblo Inglés seemed a fun way to begin a new life. What I didn’t expect was how fulfilling my involvement would be. My time with Pueblo Inglés has been exceptional, with many new friendships burnished by shared challenges, personal stories and accomplishment.
I have been inspired by the experience to apply for and get a German passport (since my mother was German). With dual citizenship, I can spend more time in the EU without restrictions, and I also just completed my TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certification.
This will be my third year as a volunteer. Pueblo Inglés has become an integral and meaningful part of my life. I encourage anyone, whether Anglo or Student, to seriously consider the advantages of participating in a Pueblo Inglés program for themselves and for their professional development.
