I believe in a soul, and all our senses do is enable us to connect

I’m Scottish, as a child moved to usa met my Irish husband in NYC 1997 on the right in the photo and moved to Edinburgh Scotland. My father lives in a small complete house in our garden. And we all share two family Shiba Inu dogs  Caillagh and Kami.  Some parts of the year we host guests foreign language students and Airbnb.

In the photo I’m on the left.

Since I was young I’ve volunteered for others related to health, youth or social issues while my main work has been in allied health care . I was lucky to have family that believes in “if you can help, do it”. I don’t have one creed or belief but my personal belief is universal and inclusive. I believe in a soul, and all our senses do is enable us to connect. Our souls need it and it heals us and the planet to connect. I’m retired now, and in this volunteering I’m finding other ways to connect with other souls. It’s been amazing. I’m naturally not extraverted but in my responsibility as a volunteer I’ve been pushing myself to express my self my language skills to enable English language students to develop their own skills by immersion. The conversations have been insightful, educational and diverse. When a volunteer and student do connect it is very endearing rewarding and often personal and  deep. Thanks! I’ve connected with many souls. I hope to share this experience with my husband in future.
