I am from the north west of Australia where the ‘desert meets the sea’.  My home town, called Broome, is rich in Aboriginal history, it has a beautiful long white beach and is renowned for producing some of the best south sea pearls in the world.

Even though I have been a teacher for most of my career with a specific passion in teaching Aboriginal and migrant students Australian Standard English, I have been immersed in a variety of different working environments.

I have owned and operated a Bed and Breakfast for many years, and during this time met many interesting people from all around the world who were attracted to visit this unique region of Australia.
