Coming to Pueblo Inglés Pueblo Inglés, I really didn’t know what to expect. The idea of helping Spanish natives to improve their English appealed to me, however, what I did not anticipate was the amount that I would learn from the experience myself. There is something very unique about the way that this program is run. It is designed in such a way that it is as much a cultural exchange as it is an intensive English immersion program. It isn’t often that one finds themselves in such a diverse group of people of different ages, nationalities and walks of life. I found the experience to be challenging, extremely rewarding but above all, great fun. To witness a non-native speaker, in the space of one week, acquire the language to express themselves is unlike anything I have ever experienced before. The program is run like clock-work, there was never a moment when I felt out of my depth or overwhelmed. Every potential problem was anticipated and we were well equipped to deal with any hitches that we might encounter throughout the week. Without a doubt, it was one of the most valuable experiences I have ever had the privilege of having.
